This month’s Out Now with Aaron and Abe commentary track is exploring a sweet urban legend. Aaron is joined by Brandon Peters, Yancy Berns, and Scott Mendelson to discuss Candyman, the 90s supernatural horror film that stands for a lot. This adult-oriented slasher film not only supplied an iconic movie villain portrayed by Tony Todd but enough fuel for discussion about how the choice to set this story around Chicago’s Cabrini-Green housing development meant taking on unique themes for the time.
