Out Now Bonus: 10 Years And Still Going…

Image
Back in March 2011, Aaron and Abe decided to start recording a weekly podcast. It’s now 10 years later, and they’re still at it. From Battle: Los Angeles to Zack Snyder’s Justice League , the guys have cover movies big and small, put out many commentary tracks, had plenty of Quickies, Games, and Feedback (feedback, feedback), and plenty of guests to join in on the fun. So, enjoy this special look back, where the guys talk about the origins and what they think of putting on a show for a decade, with no plans to stop any time soon. Plus, enjoy a nice set of bloopers as well. So now, if you’ve got an hour to kill… You can also find links to the episode at AudioBoom or Spotify . Subscribe via iTunes HERE

Weekly Recap: Nobody, Invincible, Justice League & More!

Image
From a film standpoint, this week is a bit lighter than last. Bob Odenkirk steps away from  Better Call Saul   territory to show his action chops in the very entertaining  Nobody . Outside of that, I just have a review of the first three episodes of  Invincible , an animated superhero show based on one of my favorite comics, and it's now streaming on Prime. I put together a new review of 2014's Godzilla 's  4K Blu-ray on the home media front. But there is something else - I've now been co-hosting the podcast with Abe for 10 years. That's a good amount of time, and we're not slowing down. That said, enjoy our incredibly long show covering  Zack Snyder's Justice League  this week.  Finally, there are my various essays, lists, and new trailers to dig into as well. Enjoy, stay safe out there, and thanks for reading! New Movie Reviews: (All Reviews Are Linked) Nobody    - Bob Odenkirk gets a chance to play action star - I n Theaters Invin

Out Now 444b: Justice League Games & Feedback

Image
I don't care how many demons he's gamed in how many hells. He's never gamed us. Not us united! We’re back with a small second portion of our Out Now with Aaron and Abe episode covering Zack Snyder’s Justice League . Aaron is still joined by Scott Mendelson and Todd Gilchrist ( Luke Thompson, unfortunately, couldn’t stay with us any longer), as the focus steered away from the review and onto some fun. The trio get into several DC -themed games, along with a solid round of Out Now Feedback. So, sit back and enjoy the conclusion to the lengthy Out Now night focused on Zack Snyder’s Justice League. Out Now 444: Zack Snyder’s Justice League

Image
This week's  Out Now with Aaron and Abe is attempting to form the unity . Aaron is joined by Luke Thompson, Todd Gilchrist, and Scott Mendelson to discuss the fan-demanded Snyder Cut – Zack Snyder’s Justice League . The group goes over this epic superhero team-up movie in its 4-hour completed form, in an attempt to deliver proper justice in regards to various opinions on this story, the superhero characters, the nature of the release of this director’s vision, and whether or not this Superman truly inspires hope. There’s also plenty of fun to be had, but it was actually too much to fit in some other segments, so enjoy this lengthy episode and keep your eyes peeled for a bonus episode featuring Justice League- themed games and feedback later in the week! Enjoy, stay safe out there, and thanks for reading! New Movie Reviews: (All Reviews Are Linked) Zack Snyder's Justice League   - 4 hours of satisfaction for some. This week's  Out Now with Aaron and Abe is going to war and back, and then the bank . Aaron and Abe are joined by Aaron Fink to discuss Anthony and Joe Russos’ follow-up to their MCU films, Cherry . The group goes over this lengthy adaptation of Nico Walker’s memoir, starring Tom Holland . There’s also plenty of fun in the other segments as well. 93rd Academy Award Nominations & Thoughts

Image
It may be (unnecessarily) later in the year, but we now have the 93rd Academy Award nominations, and, yes, I have thoughts. Firstly, I'm not sure if this post tends to come off grouchy or not, but I do have fun with this, largely because I tend to more or less like the films being represented and largely find it a shame that there's not room for everything I was a fan of from the previous year. So, with that in mind, there's once again plenty to praise, even if several films I had the most praise for were left off the list entirely. With that said, there's once again a decent amount of representation for on-screen diversity, as well as what's going on behind the camera. There are some major highlights for films starring international actors, along with people of color. One can also see a bit of "same old stuff" regarding some of these categories. Regardless, the ceremony won't air until April 25, so there's more to come in the weeks ahead. For now
