Have I talked enough about theaters? It's not like they're doing all that well, so maybe that commentary isn't really needed. Regardless, film festivals are working just fine without them, between virtual screeners and drive-in arrangements. With that in mind, I have a new review for Sofia Coppola's latest,  On the Rocks , which debuted at the  New York Film Festival . This goes along with my previous reviews for films from the Toronto International Film Festival .  There are also the reviews for the big releases of the week, including Netflix's Enola Holmes , along with Kajillionaire , and some others. This week's Out Now with Aaron and Abe is determining what actually rises again. Aaron and Abe are joined by Movies Markus’ Markus Robinson to go over the slavery-themed horror/thriller Antebellum , starring Janelle Monae . The group digs into just how effectively the film managed to balance being a genre flick and having something important to say about the racial divide in America, which includes a spoiler-focused section of the review that is established beforehand. In terms of recent upward trajectory, along with Variety , the news is out that I've been made Senior Film & TV Editor for We Live Entertainment. That goes nicely with the batch of reviews I have out this week.
