How About That Trailer? - Avengers: Infinity War

Image
In a year that's given us several (mostly terrific) superhero movies, it would seem unlikely that many wouldn't be ready for one that feels like the ultimate event for these sorts of films. In a different world, I would have been inclined to say Justice League  was that event, but my mixed-positive reaction aside, it just didn't work out that way. This is where Avengers: Infinity War  comes in. Enjoy the trailer above, and I'll throw in some more thoughts below.

Brief Thoughts: Thanksgiving Catchup 2017

Image
I really enjoy putting my reviews together.  I honestly wish I could delve deeper into certain movies, but alas, I get incredibly busy and can sometimes only deal with movies to a briefer extent than I would prefer.  This is why I write these occasional "Brief Thoughts" posts on movies I have seen, as I want to at least offer some of my own perspective on them.  They may not be as polished, but I can at least get my opinions out there. This edition of "Brief Thoughts" features some films I caught up on during the Thanksgiving holiday: The Florida Project, Victoria &  Abdul , and Menashe .

Weekly Recap: Thor: Ragnarok, Last Flag Flying & More!

Image
Thor: Ragnarok is the biggest release of the week, let alone one of the biggest releases of the month and the season. The incredibly fun Marvel movie has plenty of entertainment value for all. Richard Linklater is also back with a somber character comedy and there are still plenty of other arthouse films out there as well. Meanwhile, a couple minor summer releases are now available for home viewing. I also had some thoughts on that wacky David Pumpkins . And be sure to jump in and listen to the multiple podcast episodes we've put out in the last week. Lots of great content there. Enjoy! In Theaters Now: Thor: Ragnarok -  https://weliveentertainment.com/welivefilm/review-hulk-smashes-thor-ragnaroks/ (Pure fun) Last Flag Flying -  http://whysoblu.com/last-flag-flying-theatrical-mission-movie-review/ (A nice character study) The Killing of a Sacred Deer -  http://whysoblu.com/killing- sacred-deer-dark-delights-movi e-review/ (Spreading wider this weekend)
