Weekly Recap: Ma Rainey's Black Bottom, News Of The World, Midnight Sky, & More!

Things are ramping up for new movie releases, as the holidays approach. This week I have reviews for a few big movie star films - Ma Rainey's Black Bottom, with Chadwick Boseman in his final role, Tom Hanks in News of the World, and George Clooney in The Midnight Sky. Plus, a set of new reviews for some genre flicks like Monster Hunter and Greenland, along with the acclaimed drama Minari, and the buzzworthy Promising Young Woman. Don't miss my picks for the best Blu-ray releases of the year, with a new review for Tenet's home release as well. And Amazon Prime has the final entry in director Steve McQueen's Small Axe anthology, which wraps up very well.

Additionally, there are more podcasts we put together, including our episodes covering Sound of Metal, Nomadland, and more. Finally, there are my various essays lists, and new trailers to dig into as well. Enjoy, stay safe out there, and thanks for reading!
