Weekly Recap: Beastie Boys, Mad Max, Movie Memories & More!

April has ended, May has begun, and I have some new reviews and more from this week. Theaters are still closed, but movies are out there, and I have plenty of thoughts. I've assembled this week's recap based around some new and upcoming films I've seen via Netflix and some screeners for titles now available OnDemand. There's also a list of the recent releases made available to stream, rent, or own digitally. So, this recap includes reviews for the Beastie Boys Story (a sure shot), Bad Education (Hugh Jackman at his best), Extraction (action junk), and The Wretched (good horror fun), among others, plus a retro review for Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome. Additionally, there are new podcasts, including a review of Extraction and a top ten of movie memories I've shared with my lovely girlfriend, Ana. Finally, there are my various essays lists, and some new trailers to dig into as well. Enjoy, stay safe out there, and thanks for reading!

Podcast:

  • ExtractionAaron and Abe are joined by filmmaker Mike Eisenberg to go over the Netflix action flick Extraction, starring Chris Hemsworth.
  • Aaron and Ana's Top Ten Movie MemoriesAaron is joined by his lovely girlfriend, Ana Bosch, who came up with the wonderful idea of counting down their top ten movie memories.
